Willsons Solicitors go live with ALB

by Doug Hargrove, Managing Director - Legal and Education

Willsons Solicitors has signed a three year deal with leading software provider, Advanced Legal to deploy ALB, its fully integrated practice and case management system (PCMS).

The ALB practice and case management solution is designed to help legal firms efficiently manage their clients, cases and documents, and has been rolled out to the firm’s staff over the summer.

The Midlands & Warwickshire based firm will replace its existing disparate solution with ALB, a unified system that completely integrates its accounts and case management requirements. The firm has also maximised value from its new solution by including additional modules to help drive practice efficiency and deliver greater value to clients.

The deal gives the firm access to core accounts and case management capability as well as expansion modules including Probate, Conveyancing, PI and Family Fixed Fee billing to further help Willsons focus on its core offerings.

Lorraine Phimister, Partner at Willsons, said: “ALB delivers everything we require from a PCMS. The full integration of core business activities such as matter management and accounting with specialist areas such as Family and Probate into one package is a real advantage for any firm that is looking for one solution to meet their needs.

“As family and child care law specialists we were interested in the additional modules that Advanced and ALB could offer us. In particular, the Family Fixed Fee module provides visual gauges that track cost against case progress, which will certainly help us to improve our service offering.”
