Resource scheduling

Advanced versions include a works order and process scheduling system, with a drag-and-drop interface for planning production. To access the feature, navigate to Operations > Scheduling.

In order to use the Scheduling screen, you must first have created Works Orders, which is explained in more detail in other tutorials. The screen displays a list of all current Works Orders, above a scheduling view, and Works Orders can be added to the schedule by clicking “Add”. The system will attempt to fit the Works Orders into the most efficient order, based on the information provided in the process resource settings.

You can, however, choose to move the processes to suit your own preferred schedule. Conflicts will be highlighted by a “hashed” area on the process.

You can also extend and reduce available working hours by dragging the light shaded backgrounds to suit actual capacity i.e. overtime.

When you are happy with the schedule, clicking “Save” will update the start and end time of the processes in the Works Order itself.
