Quotes can be requested for up to three suppliers at a time, in much the same way as a formal tendering process.
To create a Quote Request, navigate to Supplier > Quote Requests and click “New Quote”.
The system will ask for the following information:
- Supplier information – Enter up to three suppliers for quoting;
 - Description – Any relevant description for the quote;
 - Quote reference – This will default to a system generated, incremental value, but can be overwritten with your own if preferred;
 - Order items – Choose the item(s) that you wish to receive quotes for, or create an item if needed;
 - Quantity – The total quantity required;
 - UoM – Unit of Measure you wish to be quoted in;
 - UoM Conversion – If the item is a Stock Item type then the system will ask for a supplier conversion rate (i.e. you may want to be quoted in packs of 10, but supplier uses packs of 100);
 - Due date – The date that you wish to receive the goods;

If you are using a Service Item type, then you will also receive the following options:
- Expense Acc – Choose the Expense Account for the item;
 - Project – If the quote is for a project then choose the relevant option here;
 - Department – If the quote is to be attached to a department then choose the relevant option here.

Next you will be presented with the usual Document Notes (allowing you to either type, or use a default Document Note to add to the quote).
Click either Save, or Save and Send to confirm and the Quote Request is complete.
