Stock & Order Item types

The Stock & Order Items page allows you to view, edit and report against existing Stock & Order Items, or create new items. Any item that is bought, sold, manufactured, or used by the business should be included on this page. Stock & Order Items can include both ‘physical’ and ‘non-physical items’.

Consumable Item: Any goods or services which are purchased by the business for consumption e.g. rent, rates, insurances, safety wear, gas, electricity, machine oils, and spare parts. Consumables cannot be ‘stock controlled’.

Service Item: Any services which are either sold by the business, or purchased by the business for resale. Services cannot be ‘stock controlled’.

Stock Item: Any physical goods which are either sold by the business, made by the business, or purchased by the business for incorporation into its products or for resale. Stock Items are ‘stock controlled’.

Asset Order Item: An item purchased by the business for use over an extended period of time such as plant and machinery or vehicles, but also intangible items like patents or trademarks.
