Amplifying the Care Sector's Voice: The Dear Andy Campaign

As the UK's social care sector continues to face significant challenges, the need for reform has never been more pressing. In his short time as PM, Andy Burnham has been vocal about his plans for social care reform. Earlier this month he unveiled a vision for NHS-style universal care – The National Care Service, aiming to provide comprehensive and simplified support to those in need. 

In light of these developments, we're launching the #DearAndy campaign, an initiative to amplify the voices of care professionals and understand their challenges, particularly around technology in care. Andy Burnham's plans for social care reform will have a significant impact on the sector. By sharing their experiences and concerns, care professionals can help inform his decisions and shape the future of care. 

The #DearAndy campaign is an opportunity for care professionals to share their stories about the challenges that they face in delivering high-quality care, the role of technology in their work and the changes they'd like to see in the sector. We’re inviting contributions from the sector to help build a growing body of evidence that will help inform Andy Burnham's decisions and shape the future of social care. 

As the UK's social care sector continues to evolve, it's essential that the voices of care professionals are heard. The #DearAndy campaign is a crucial step towards understanding the challenges, in particular the technology challenges, faced by the sector and informing the development of effective solutions.
