ELFS selects OneAdvanced's Financials to support the future of NHS finance transformation

ELFS has selected OneAdvanced's Financials as its strategic finance platform partner following a comprehensive procurement process designed to support the future needs of NHS finance organisations.

ELFS and OneAdvanced have been working together for over 20 years, and the ongoing partnership will support NHS organisations currently using eFinancials (the existing Finance solution currently used across NHS from OneAdvanced) in transitioning to a modern, NHS-focused finance platform, while ensuring continuity, sector expertise and long-term strategic support.

The procurement process assessed suppliers across a broad range of criteria including quality, technical capability, implementation approach, social value and commercial value, with OneAdvanced achieving the highest overall evaluated outcome.

The strengthened partnership between ELFS and OneAdvanced will focus on helping NHS organisations modernise finance operations through greater automation, improved real-time visibility, streamlined reporting and reduced reliance on manual processes.

The move also supports the increasing need for more connected and intelligent operational decision-making across NHS organisations, as finance teams face growing pressure around efficiency, planning, governance and resource management.

Ric Thompson, Senior Vice President - Health at OneAdvanced, said:

“This partnership is about much more than technology. It’s about giving NHS organisations confidence in a finance platform and partner that understands the sector, understands the challenges finance teams are under and can support organisations through long-term transformation.

We’re proud to have been re-selected by ELFS and look forward to working together to support both existing customers and wider NHS organisations as they modernise finance operations.”

OneAdvanced’s Financials has been designed around the operational and reporting needs of NHS organisations, supporting areas including financial planning, reporting, governance, procurement, automation and integration with wider NHS systems and workflows.

The partnership also aligns with OneAdvanced’s wider IQ Health platform launch; bringing together workflows, data and operational systems across healthcare into a more connected and intelligent system of work.

Within this strategy, Financials plays a critical role in helping NHS organisations strengthen operational and financial decision-making, while creating stronger integration between finance, workforce, operational and clinical workflows over time.

As part of the partnership, ELFS and OneAdvanced will work jointly to support customers through the transition from eFinancials, including customer engagement, migration planning, communications and ongoing sector collaboration.

Chris Endersby, Finance Service Delivery Director at ELFS, said:

“We wanted a partner that not only met the requirements of the specification across technical, quality and commercial criteria, but also demonstrated a clear understanding of the operational realities and future direction of NHS finance.

Throughout the process, OneAdvanced demonstrated a strong commitment to partnership, collaboration and long-term support for NHS organisations. We’re looking forward to continuing working closely together to support customers through the next phase of their finance transformation journey.”

The partnership will also explore wider opportunities to support NHS Trusts and ICBs looking to modernise finance systems and reduce reliance on legacy infrastructure, alongside joint engagement activity across the sector.
