Gordon Wilson, CEO

Gordon is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Advanced. Having joined the company in September 2015, he brings extensive experience in the software industry from which to continue to drive Advanced’s impressive growth trajectory. Gordon is leading Advanced’s ambitious transformation process which includes a four pillar process of reorganisation, rebranding, relocation and restructuring.

With over 20 years’ General Management experience in the software and business support sectors, Gordon’s former roles include serving as Managing Director at Kerridge Automotive Systems, ADP Dealer Services and leading Aquila Heywood, the UK’s largest provider of pension and policy administration software and services. All three software businesses experienced significant growth under Wilson’s watch, most recently leading the management team at Aquila Heywood to achieve 90% growth over a five-year period.

Alex Arundale, HR Director

Alex Arundale is Group HR Director at Advanced, having joined the company in February 2016. She is responsible for leading the company’s talent management and development initiatives, from recruitment through to retention.

Alex has already made a huge impact, introducing innovative new people-focused strategies including attraction strategies which actively avoids unconscious bias and was one of the first to famously ‘throw CVs out of the window’ in the recruitment process. Prior to Advanced, Alex has held a number of HR positions, most recently as Director of HR Operations at CDK International and HR Director at APD Dealer Services.

Alex is a Chartered Fellow at the CIPD, the highest level of professional membership. Fellowships recognise a select group of senior HR and L&D professionals who deliver sustained long-term business performance by leading and developing people strategy.

Andrew Hicks, CFO

Andrew Hicks is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Advanced, having joined the company in December 2015. He is responsible for leading the Group’s strategic and operational finance, legal and HR departments. He also drives strategic organic and inorganic initiatives across the group.

Andrew brings 15 years’ experience in the software sector, serving in senior finance roles in public and private equity backed firms both in the UK and USA. Most recently, he was CFO of Kewill, a global leader in multi-modal transportation software solutions, which he helped transition from a public company to private ownership. Prior to that, he worked for a number of Vista portfolio companies including Advanced’s sister company, financial services software provider Misys, and as CFO of Vista’s P2 Energy Solutions, the world’s largest software and data solutions company exclusively servicing the oil and gas industry. This business was formed from the assets of Thomson Reuters’ Trade and Risk Management Software business unit based in the UK.

Sally Scott, CMO

Sally Scott is Chief Marketing Officer at Advanced, having been promoted to the role in December 2015. She had previously been marketing director of its Business Solutions division, delivering a breadth of back office and specialist CRM solutions to the mid and enterprise market. Sally is now responsible for aligning the company’s marketing initiatives and brand awareness to its ambitious growth plans.

Sally is passionate about ensuring that marketing makes a real and measurable contribution to sales revenue and is responsible for delivering the company’s integrated new brand, launched in April 2016 as part of the company’s transformation process. Sally brings over 15 years of senior marketing experience to Advanced. Prior to Advanced, she was head of marketing at UNIT 4, which underwent a significant rebranding process under her helm. She also held a wealth of marketing positions at software companies including Infor Global Solutions (previously known as Systems Union) and Pegasus Software.
