FAQs

  • Why are these changes happening?

    Traditional models of software delivery are leaving too many businesses tied to out-dated, often unsupported, versions of systems. However, by moving to a cloud-based SaaS (software-as-a-service) model, OneAdvanced can ensure that you are not left behind and that you have the flexibility and scalability needed to continue to grow and thrive.

  • Who does this change affect?

    Customers who currently use an on-premise version of Time & Attenance will be affected the most. However, all current Time & Attendance customers will be able to benefit from these changes.

  • When is this happening?

    Many customers have already started their journey and we are methodically contacting customers on a case-by-case basis to ensure all projects have adequate resources to be fulfilled in as timely and efficient a manner as possible once a decision has been made.

  • Will this affect our existing commercial agreement?

    Yes – moving away from our traditional on premise model to SaaS will mean a new agreement has to be put in place.

  • When will we need to make a decision?

    Once you have had an initial conversation with your account management team and you have received a formal proposal with your new agreement, you will have 90 days to confirm your decision before your existing contract will terminate.

  • Will we receive automatic updates?

    One of the key benefits from moving towards a SaaS model is that you will always be on the latest version of Time & Attendance, with automatic updates outside of working hours.

  • Do we need T2 terminals?

    The latest version of Time & Attendance works in tandem with our new T2 clocks to deliver a clocking experience that puts people first. Biometric security, faster enrolment and real-time data analytics, for example, are only possible through the combination of the latest version of Time & Attendance and the cutting-edge hardware of the T2. Your proposal will include any new T2 terminals that are required and associated costs.

  • Can we still use our existing clocks and access controls?

    Customers using older ‘MF’ series clocks will need to have them replaced. This is primarily due to the fact that this hardware will no longer be supported as of January 1st, 2025 due to the extremely limited availability of servicable parts. Customers affected by this will receive separate communications. 

    Your proposal will include all costings associated with moving to the latest version of Time & Attendance alongside any and all hardware changes needed.

  • How long will it take to install and implement these changes?

    Each organisation will have their own timescales based on their size, number of locations and number devices to be installed. Your account management team will be able to provide a unique timeline alongside your proposal.

  • We’ve recently renewed our contract; will we need a new agreement?

    Yes. As the commercial agreements will be subject to change, a new agreement will need to be completed. We understand and appreciate that many of our customers may have recently renewed, or are in the process of renewing, their contracts with OneAdvanced. However, this will be acknowledged and reflected in your proposal.

  • What happens if we decide not to join you on this journey?

    If you do not wish to move forward with OneAdvanced then your current contract will terminate at the end of the 90-day decision making period. You will no longer be licenced to use our software, nor receive support.
