Advanced partner marketplace boosted with unified Cloud ecosystem
Interoperability, innovation and user experience at the centre of new Cloud-based MyWorkplace launched by Advanced
Following the launch of its TruePartner channel programme last year, Advanced has today unveiled its new Cloud-based platform – MyWorkplace – a unified Cloud ecosystem which will help to create a marketplace for its partners. This is a significant step forward towards delivering interoperability between its systems, which will include an open API platform for partners. It comes at a time where the government is being called upon to ensure customer choice and innovation from technology providers, according to a new independent review.
Given the rapid adoption of Cloud technologies - 74% of British organisations have already invested in the Cloud - and 72% have adopted technology to automate tasks and processes, according to Advanced’s latest Trends Survey, MyWorkplace is designed to ensure the transformation to the Cloud and process automation is not stunted by the failure of a lack of innovation or choice. The clear appetite for new digital services can in itself mean a polarisation of the market, which partners can take advantage of. By providing partners with access to our open ecosystem, MyWorkplace, where processes and systems will be unified, third parties can easily integrate with and extend the existing product offering from Advanced with value added software and services. This aims to drive innovation across the partner community, as well as providing choice to the end customer.
“Interoperability, innovation and competition are issues high on the agenda for the IT industry. Just as customers are looking for IT developments to gain a competitive edge by enhancing customer experiences and services, the partner community needs the opportunity to be able to accelerate their own businesses. By creating a unified Cloud platform open to our TruePartners, we are taking out complexity from our technologies and laying the foundations for our own partner Cloud marketplace. We want to help them move towards a Software-as-a-Service delivery, with the benefits of recurring revenues. Equally, we want to make it easier for our partners to drive new developments within our technology offering,” says Dean McGlone, Channel Sales Director at Advanced.
Partners will be able to benefit from access to MyWorkplace, which is designed to help organisations to deliver faster, smarter services to their customers. It does this by combining existing cloud solutions and on-premise solutions from Advanced with common components such as a single user interface, one reporting layer and a powerful process automation engine.
Common core components shared across the platform include:
- Cloud based Business Intelligence, capable of data analysis across multiple platform datasets
- Unified workflow and business process management
- Machine learning, artificial intelligence and predictive analytics to augment system workflows
- Digital communication services to enable cross-boundary collaboration between platform users
- Single sign-on
A Platform Bridge will give access to cloud services, such as Business Tax Portal, for on-premise applications. The final element is the new API gateway which will provide common access for partners.
The MyWorkplace ecosystem will unify market relevant systems into a single platform, tailored for each vertical sector, from manufacturing, health and care, legal, education through to sports and entertainment.
“If partners specialise in a particular vertical sector, such as manufacturing, they’ll be able to take advantage of the right systems unified within the MyWorkplace platform. This will create a level of standardisation around delivery, technology, configurations as well as extensibility, all of which will reduce costs, complexity and help foster innovation from our partners. The premise behind our unified cloud platform is to help not only our customers but our partners accelerate the success of innovative digital business projects, wherever they are on their Cloud journey,” Dean concludes.
