Why your chambers should use the cloud for case collaboration

by OneAdvanced PR, Author

Casework within a barristers’ chambers is ever evolving and can be vastly different from one case to the next. As such, barristers, clerks, and anybody else working on the case needs to be able to work free from complications.

That’s why we’ve taken case collaboration for our MLC chambers management solution to the cloud with Microsoft OneDrive. OneDrive allows authorised barristers and clerks to deposit, or access, data from wherever they are across the programs you use on a day-to-day basis.

With our Solicitor Share facility, clients can also upload files directly into their case vault meaning that you have everything you need at your fingertips, whether you’re in the office, at court, or elsewhere.

How cloud-based case collaboration helps chambers

Case collaboration on a digital level ensures that you can demolish work silos when it comes to working on cases together.

But case collaboration in the cloud means that this can be done securely and in full compliance of GDPR, with the ability to prioritise client data security with central administration rights that assign permissions to individuals and ensure you are always in control of user access. It also relegates the need to save data locally or rely on insecure email messaging to collaborate on cases.

Through the Solicitor Share facility you are also saving time and paper when it comes to sharing files and documents, with no need to receive or administer bundles of paper when it comes to collating evidence. This saves not only paper, but money and time in its administration, as well as efficiency in ensuring nothing is lost as everything submitted is available to you when you need it most.
