Advanced named approved supplier on Scotland Excel framework

by Ric Thompson, Managing Director - Health & Care

CareDirector secures place on list of social work case management solutions software

Advanced has been named as an approved supplier on Scotland Excel’s social care framework – a move which will see the British software and services provider’s core health and care solutions expanded across Scotland.

Its social care case management solution, CareDirector, has been accepted onto the framework which provides the region’s 32 local authorities with a trusted mechanism for procuring social work case management solutions software. CareDirector has been accepted onto all three lots - on-premise, hosted and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) – and placed in the top three highest scoring products for each lot.

CareDirector is a modern, Cloud-based case management solution for social care. Its particular strengths are its ease of integration, mobile-working and reporting capabilities.  Uniquely, it facilitates joint-working across health and social care, with integrated community health and mental health modules available. CareDirector is currently deployed as a national solution across health and social care in Wales as part of the Welsh Community Care Information Solutions (WCCIS). As such, it supports the joined up working arrangements of Scottish Health and Social Care partnerships perfectly.

CareDirector is an established solution, and is already accredited under both G-Cloud and Government Procurement Services frameworks for social care case management solutions. It is used by numerous local authorities and NHS trusts across England, Wales, the Republic of Ireland and the USA.

“As an established provider of health and care software to more than 40 million patients across the UK, securing a place on this social care framework is of great significance to Advanced,” comments Ric Thompson, Managing Director – Health & Care – Advanced. “It confirms that our social care software meets the exacting criteria set by Scotland Excel. This framework ensures consistently high standards and quality through rigorous compliance, and is testament to how our solution helps local authorities achieve more efficient working practices and better decision making while giving them more time with their service users.

“More than 50,000 social care professionals currently use CareDirector who, collectively, are caring for more than one million citizens. Being awarded a place on the framework will now give more social care professionals across Scotland access to our trusted solution.”

Established in 2008, Scotland Excel is a non-profit shared service designed to help Scotland’s 32 local authorities meet the twin challenges of reducing budgets at a time of growing demand. It launched on the principle that collaborative procurement increases efficiency and ensures money is saved to protect front line services, while enabling councils to realise a host of social, economic and environmental benefits from their spend.
