Dan Docherty joins as Head of SaaS Operations to accelerate cloud growth
Advanced, one of the UK’s largest software and services providers, has hired former Sage director Dan Docherty for a newly created role – Head of Software as a Service (SaaS) Operations – to continue the growth acceleration of its 13-strong portfolio of Cloud-based solutions.
Dan will be responsible for leading the cross-functional planning and go-to-market success of Advanced’s Cloud solutions as more and more organisations look to adopt a Cloud-first strategy. Initially, he will focus on driving the company’s core solutions Business Cloud Essentials, Advanced Financials and Advanced HR as well as the newly launched fundraising solution for charities, Cloud Engage, in Britain’s mid-market.
Having spent over 13 years with Sage in various senior roles, Dan brings extensive experience in Cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions. Most recently, he was Sage’s Director of Product Marketing for Northern Europe responsible for proposition development, product delivery and marketing, as well as energising sales teams and channel partners to ensure customer adoption and commercial success. He also played a pivotal role in Sage’s payroll software, taking it from a licenced to a subscription model.
