OneAdvanced launch Technology & Resilience Benchmark Report with the Road Haulage Association

RHA members and OneAdvanced logistics customers were surveyed to understand the current state of the haulage sector. The corresponding report paints an insightful picture on the pain points the industry faces around technology adoption, system integration, operational efficiency, and AI readiness. 

The headlines

• Just 9% of hauliers have a fully integrated technology stack. Nearly half still rely on manual exports or uploads to move data between systems.
• Only 6% of respondents say they have a genuine ‘single source of truth’.
• 80% rely on data which is slow to compile or potentially outdated.
• More than a third say their TMS and WMS need significant modernisation in the next 24 months.
• 44% of micro fleet operators make major business decisions based on gut feel and experience alone - because reliable data simply isn’t available to them.
• Cyber security ranks below compliance and financial volatility as possible risk areas. In a regulated, low margin sector this is not a surprise - but could this be creating a possible blind spot?
• Manual data entry and analogue processes were listed as the two biggest pain points.
• When it comes to AI, operators are pragmatic. Smart document processing (59%) and predictive vehicle maintenance (54%) are the priority - technology that solves real problems, not technology for its own sake.
